2009 U.S. Open of Surfing

Grande campeonato, uma semana de acção culminada com excelentes condições nos últimos dias de prova e com o rapaz local, Brett Simpson a vencer e a ganhar a maior premiação de sempre num campeoanato de surf. O nível das performances foi altíssimo, não estivessem alguns dos pros do WT em prova. Mineirinho, CJ e Fanning foram alguns dos destaques e Slater igual a sim mesmo fez uma performance à parte, só perdendo por falta de ondas no seu heat.

Great event, a week of action culminated in excellent conditions in the last days of event and with the local boy, Brett Simpson winning and gain the biggest prize money of a surf event. The level of the performances was high. Mineirinho, CJ and Fanning were some of the standouts and Slater was in a world apart, only losing for lack of waves in his heat.

O Rip Curl Pro, 2ªetapa Circuito Nacional de Surf 2009 evento que decorreu no âmbito do Festival Ocean Spirit 2009 que tem lugar em Santa Cruz / Santa Rita teve como grandes vencedores o João Guedes e a Joana Rocha nas suas categorias respectivas. Pelo que vi e que não foi muito, o João foi um justo vencedor pois mostrou um surf solto e moderno, nas meninas prefiro nem comentar muito, mas o que sobra de beleza falta em força nas pernas para as manobras. Os atletas da Koala, Nuno Silva e Paulo Almeida moço dos Algarves chegaram aos oitavos de final.

The Rip Curl Pro, 2th event of National Circuit of Surf 2009 elapsed in the scope of the Festival Ocean Spirit 2009 that it has place in village of Santa Cruz/ beach of Santa Rita, had as great winners the Guedes, João and the Joana Rocha aka Rock in its respective categories. For what see and that was not too much, João showed one surf flashy and modern and in the girls I prefer not to comment but the beauty sometimes surplus in some athletes the lack of force of the their legs is in maneuvers. The athletes of the Koala, Nuno Silva and Paulo Almeida of the Algarves had arrived at 1/8 Finals.

JBay 2009 - Parko Wins

Bem, mais uma vitória para o Parko, embora o(s) surfista (s) do evento tenham sido o Dane Reynolds com alguns dos "best moves" e o "backside attack" do Damien Hobgood. Talvez o melhor campeonato do ano, um choque de icons ;) com boas ondas, um excelente webcast e uma "High" performance geral dos surfistas em prova. Quanto ao Saca e ao Marlon foram eliminados de primeira e a sua situação no ranking está complicada a meio do circuito, a ver vamos...

Well, one more victory for Parko, though the surfer(s) of the event they have been Dane Reynolds with some of best moves and the backside attack of Damien Hobgood. Perhaps the best event of the year, with a clash of icons;) good waves, an excellent webcast and a overall high performance of the surfers. Saca and Marlon they were eliminated in first round and his situation in the ranking is complicated halfway the circuit...

Long Live the King!!!

Bem afinal o rei não está morto, a performance de Slater foi crescendo ao longo do campeonato e na final mostrou que está bem vivo, Long live the king ;) / Well at last the king is not dead, the performance of Slater was growing along the championship and in the end it showed that it is quite alive, Long live the king;)
